Challenge

Different hardware installed in the client’s 300 outlets to communicate with main ERP system when running sales campaigns. Client-server solution not effective, applications faxed from outlets to HQ as a last resort. Credit validation of applicants taking too long when running sales campaigns.

Solution

iSeries2web employed as a browser interface between the outlets and main ERP system. An on-line credit validation check towards the CPR (Central Office of Civil Registration) and RKI (a leading credit rating agency) was developed as part of the solution.

Result

On-line communication established without huge investments in hardware. Sales campaigns with 15,000 on-line credit validation checks in 3 hours were orchestrated with a 25 % rejection rate of individuals who already have a reputation for defaulting. Savings of more than m€ 1.3 per sales campaign were realized on average.
